Added support for UTF-8. This provides full Unicode support for UTF-8 ready hosts such as Redhat 8.0 and greater. UTF-8 support is enabled by host in the Profile Manager-Advanced-Desktop dialog.

Added the ability to check for the latest version (Help-Check Version)

Implemented the latest Installshield installation routine. This version provides for enhanced multi-user support.

The location of the NetTerm control file (netterm.ini) is now determined by Installshield and its location is placed in the system registry entry:

 HKEY-CURRENT-USER-Software/InterSoft International, Inc/NetTerm/NetTermINI

Note that this location will be user specific.

Items 1 and 2 apply only to the nt32500i.exe. The International version
(nt32500.exe) does not use the Installshield routine.

If you have installed the 4.0.0.2004 version, and desire to keep your current settings/hosts for this release, prior to uninstalling the SecureNetTerm/SecureFTP 4.0.0.2004 version(s), do the following:

Locate the control files SecureCommon.ini, SecureCommon.xml and known_hosts files and save to a safe place. The location of these files are system dependent, and can be found within the following registry entries:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/InterSoft International, Inc/SecureNetTerm or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/InterSoft International, Inc/SecureFTP

Remove (uninstall) the current version(s).

3.

Install the current release.

4.

Copy the three saved files back to the same location.

5.

Note that these three files are used by both SecureNetTerm and SecureFTP.

If you have used the QuickConnect feature, you will need to delete any historical entries (Shift-Connect). The QuickConnect host history is now maintained in binary registry format, required for full unicode support. This DOES NOT apply to those hosts maintained by the Site Profile Manager or to the hostorical hosts maintained by the toolbar "Recent Hosts" dropdown list.

The 4.0.2004 release incorporates a completely new user interface incorporating the following advanced options:

The ability to keep the window size/position the same when the host switches from 80 column to 132 column report mode.

The "phone directory" has been replaced with an Advanced Site Profile Manager, which is shared with the SecureFTP product. This allows both products to use a common host file.
